All those associated with the Langley Children’s Society have a reasonable expectation and right that their privacy will be respected at all times.
All information obtained as a result of their association with us will remain strictly confidential.
The society gathers certain demographic data for the purposes of business analysis and funding requirements. Only summarized data is published; personal information or information that identifies an individual client is not released without permission at any time unless required to do so by law.
Exception to this policy is the duty to report abuse or, where information disclosed to an employee gives that employee the belief that a person will hurt themselves or someone else.
Langley Children's Society maintains compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (British Columbia) and Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
The Executive Director is the Privacy Officer for the Society.
